What We Did Today

We used the beginning of class to edit each others paragraphs about chemical and physical changes. Students then got a list of the core ideas that we have been studying. We will review these to prepare for Friday's unit test. The test will be 24 multiple choice questions that will summarize the main ideas we have covered over the semester.

What We Did Today:

Students completed 2.2: Comparing Distributions With the Same Mean. Students were given the number of groups and the mean of a set of data and students had to create their own set of data. Students then created ordered-value bar graphs, dot/line plots and answered questions regarding their data.

What We Did Today:

Students discovered the meaning behind the formula for average. Students "evened" out blocks to decide the mean on Friday. What We Did Today

We wrapped up acids and bases today. Students then took a biology pretest. They were able to start their homework.

Homework

Compare and contrast a physical change to a chemical change. Discuss what happens to the atoms and properties before and after the changes. Make sure to include examples and lots of supporting details. This is to be in paragraph form. (If you are having a difficult time getting started, you could start with a t-chart as a form of brainstorming and then take your list to develop your paragraph)

Wednesday: AoW - create a four square (counterarguments), Action plan essay four square, read

Thursday: AoW practice paragraph, work on action plan essay (1/2 day 1-3rd hours only), read

Friday: AoW practice paragraph, reading quilt work & essay work time
