What We Did Today
We began "round 2" of our narrative writing unit. Students selected one topic, from all the generating we've done, to begin a published piece. They were assigned writing partners and told their stories to each other. They learned about leads and wrote 2 different leads - using detail, inner thinking, and/or dialogue.
For reading, we debated the question, "If you could drink a potion that would magically make you live forever, would you drink it?"
I began reading Tuck Everlasting.
