Kettner - Science - 3/17/2017

What We Did Today
Today's plan was to go over the lab but many students were not prepared so plans needed to change. Students were asked to answer the questions on page 22 in their textbooks. Answers needed to include the question in the answer and give supporting detail. Once finished, they play a matching vocabulary game to help prepare for Tuesday's quiz.

Homework
Complete both sides of "The parts of a microscope". in addition to making sure the 5 questions are complete and the entire lab.

Kettner - Science - 3/16/2017

What We Did Today
We did the lab, "How to Use a Microscope". We learned about the different parts of the microscope, how to make a wet mount slide and how to use it. Any student that was absent needs to come in at lunch and make it up.

We  watched a short video and we listed the 8 characteristics of living things. Students also turned in their chemistry books and got their new Cell books.

Homework
 Draw a picture for each characteristic of living things. Make sure you include pictures of organisms in each kingdom. Your picture should contain captions and be colorful.

Students finished C through E on page 40 for Problem 2.2: Comparing Distributions With the Same Mean. Students also worked on ACE questions 1–7 (p. 48-49), 17–25 (p.50-51), 33–34 (p. 55).
