What We Did Today
Students turned in their "Story of Photosynthesis" comic strip. We read pages 55-59 together and started working on the "Photosynthesis and Respiration Packet".

Homework.
Complete the first three pages in the packet - all of the ones related to photosynthesis.

What We Did Today
We watched the "Osmosis Rap" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqKlLm2MjkI to help review osmosis and diffusion. We then worked on writing the hypothesis for the "Egg-speriment". At the end of class, we talked about the expectations for the "Story of Photosynthesis" comic strip.

Homework.
Complete one panel of your comic strip. Make sure the picture directly addresses the specific action within that panel. Be neat, clever and colorful. Make sure that you add a caption as well. We will work on this in class tomorrow - make sure you bring your colored pencils or markers.

Monday - Friday:

Reading: We will continue reading All Rise for the Honorable Perry T.Cook and chart examples of literary conflict, as well as look at grammar - the seven capitalization rules.

Writing: Students will free write this week in response to our read aloud to prepare for grammar/mechanics work. We will use writing exercises: the Writer's Eye, and "When I was Little" to free write. We will also read aloud Punctuation Takes a Vacation and create an Editor's Checklist.

What We Did Today
We started learning about the Story of Photosynthesis. Students were given a scrambles story and had to put it in the proper order using pages 50-55 from their textbook.

Homework.
Using the paper handed out in class, cut and paste the story of photosynthesis onto the paper so we can illustrate the steps tomorrow.
