Kettner - Science - 2/9/2017

What We Did Today
We started activity 2.4 - Freezing. We watched a demonstration of an ice bomb to show that water actually expands when it freezes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uE_fhooANhE We then did a short activity to show how water vapor in air can condense then freeze. If you were absent, you can get a copy of the activity sheet in science files - it is labeled "2.4 student worksheet". You could easily do the activity at home. We got up to number 5 completed in class. When it refers to any multimedia, just click on this link and you can see what we saw in class. http://www.middleschoolchemistry.com/multimedia/chapter2/lesson4

If you were absent yesterday, we spent quite a bit of time, interpreting the graph on page 67 from your textbook. We then worked on the sheet, "Benzene - changes of state". You can find a copy under Science files as well.
