Wednesday -
Reading: Looking at character actions & meaning in Hour of the Bees
Writing: Literary essay - What a character wants  - write long - What does Winnie really want?

Thursday -
Reading: Read aloud Hour of the Bees and thinking about claims
Writing: Creating claims about Winnie and creating a four square

Friday -
Reading: Hour of the Bees - Deepening an existing claim by citing evidence
Writing: Summarizing, Storytelling, and Quoting - evidence and using transitions


Homework
Read (spend at least 15 min a night)
Next AR book due Monday 11/28 (In order to write an essay about your character)
Students should be filling in a chart about their main character while reading - Page #/Actions/Author's Purpose & My Thinking
